Commmunity Activation And Peer Detailing Featured

CEHRD carried out training of KIs/Caregivers in Rivers and Cross River states on the use of ZINC and ORS as the best medicine for the treatment of childhood diarrhoea in 2015.  A total of between 9,500 to 10,000 KIs/Caregivers were reached and their capacity built to administer ZINC and ORS to children. 23 Medical officers Health (MOH) and 23 Control for Diarrhoea Diseases officers in Rivers State also trained community health workers in 366 Health facilities on the treatments of Pneumonia and Diarrhoea in Rivers and Cross River States. The project was supported by Clinton Health Access Initiative, (CHAI).
