Bundu Waterfront

The Centre for Environment, Human Rights and Development (CEHRD) organized a community science mapping trip to Bundu Waterfront, Bundu community in Rivers State. The 24 participants which were made up of 10 females and 14 males were drawn from CEHRD staff, students from both University of Port Harcourt, and Rivers State University, Bundu community members and staff of Rainbow Watch, a non-governmental organisation. The 2-day trip was organized to identify and classify animals found in the mangrove ecosystem, to understand the structure and complexity of biodiversity in the natural habitat and document biodiversity baseline data for future monitoring of climate change impact.
