CEHRD AT THE REVIEW OF THE CLIMATE CHANGE TRAINING MANUAL AND TOOLKITS ORGANIZED BY CLIMATE ACTION FOR SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (CASE)

The Centre for Environment, Human Rights and Development (#cehrd) was represented at The Review of the Climate Change Trainers Manual and Toolkits organized by the Climate Action for Sustainability and Environmental Protection (C.A.S.E).
The goal of the event is to combat Climate change and its impacts, strengthen resilience, Climate literacy and advocacy amongst children and #youths in Rivers State.

The two days event which held on 7th and 8th April, 2022, intends to launch a working material that is simple, easy to understand and use by schools and students. @Baridapsi Nyiaghan, Assessment and Sustainability Officer of #CEHRD, contributed and presented on “how to teach students about Climate Change” in review of the training manual.

The Special guest, Prof. Ebuku, Rivers State Commissioner of Education, who attended the program in person, committed to have the training manual published for schools. It is important to note that #CEHRD has Environmental clubs and School Clubs in communities across Rivers and Bayelsa States and the training manual will be very useful to train the “learners” on climate change.

CEHRD is glad to make a veritable input to the review of the training manual. CEHRD will be glad to see the final published material being used in schools.

Remember: Never forget to support the implementation of #riversstatevapplaw. We must join hands to reduce Gender Based Violence #GBV in #RiversState
