CEHRD Set-up the Women in Governance Network (WIGN) Featured

The Women in Governance Network (WIGN) was set up and launched by Centre for Environment, Human Rights and Development (CEHRD) on the 9th of July 2019 during a town hall meeting in Bayelsa State. The WIGN is a platform designed by CEHRD to bring together women in politics and promote inclusion and participation of women in politics. The network encourages women to support each other in politics, irrespective of parties affiliations.

The town hall meeting brought together women from different communities, where they networked and built relationship and partnerships for continuous collaboration in political activities and leadership development. The Oruma and Sagbama branches in Bayelsa State were set up today. Other branches will be set up to run. This is with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Abuja.
