In continuation of the UNDP-GEF small grant program activity implementation, The Centre for Environment, Human rights and Development (CEHRD) on September 24th 2025 carried out a Project Inception meeting with different stakeholders and the community leadership of Rumourlumeni community in Obio-Akpor LGA.
The meeting was to formally kick start its project Accelerating Community led mangrove Restoration project which is fully funded by the UNDP GEF SGP
During the event, CEHRD inaugurated community vanguard by the Rivers state ministry of Environment and a formal project buy in by the community leadership structure.
The project is funded by GEF Small Grants Programme, United Nations Development Programme – UNDP
