In continuation of the UNDP-GEF small grant program activity implementation, The Centre for Environment, Human rights and Development (CEHRD) on October 10th 2025 carried out a Stakeholders Workshop with different stakeholders and the community leadership of Rumourlumeni community in Obio Akpor LGA.
The workshop emphasized the importance of community involvement, inclusive participation, and collective action.

Proposed solutions included government laws protecting mangroves, employment opportunities, and community-managed restricted areas.
The meeting highlighted the need for collaboration between the community and government to protect mangroves and promote sustainable development. By working together, they can prevent future damage and ensure the success of mangrove restoration efforts.
