Centre For Environment Human Rights And Development – CEHRD on Thursday, Septmeber 4, 2025 carryout a sensitization on the project: “Accelerating Community-Led Mangrove Restoration” in Kono Community, Khana Local Government Area, Rivers State, Nigeria.
The activity aimed at empowering community members with the knowledge of the project, the objectives and activities lined-up to ensure the achievement of the project. CEHRD members sought the support of the community towards the project.
The community members who appreciated and welcomed the project noted that the project will also give room for another form of business venture, beyond restoring their mangroves and biodieversity; they committed to supporting the success of the project.
Traditional Leaders, Youths, Men, Women and Persons with Disabilities were in attendance.
The project implemented by CEHRD is sponsored by GEF Small Grants Programme, United Nations Development Programme – UNDP
