CEHRD organised 2-day capacity building for Women for Environmental Justice Network (WEJN) on “Advocating for Environmental Justice” under the environment stream of the Dutch project.
The women were drawn from communities across Bayelsa state with the following objectives:
1. To train them on what is environmental discrimination and how it can be identified; different strategies to advocate for environmental justice peacefully.
2. To strengthen their capacity to advocate for environmental justice within their environment.
3. To establish a sustainable women network across Rivers state that will partner with relevant agencies to report environmental issues/injustice within their environs.
