2020 Board and Staff Annual Retreat was held at Habitat Hotel and Resort, Port Harcourt

Thank you for your response. CEHRD identified issues on climate change, oil spill, environmental degradation, increase in Gender and Human rights cases in Nigeria among others. These led CEHRD to produce its five years strategic plan which terminated this year, 2025. Over the five years, CEHRD had massive successes. CEHRD was part of NGOs that led advocacy engagements that resulted to the adoption of Violence Against Person Prohibition Act into law in Rivers State (2020) and Bayelsa (2021). CEHRD became the first if not the only organization to produce an info-graphic form of the adopted VAPP Law in Rivers State for easy understanding. CEHRD has also planted mangroves and still planting mangroves in communities across Niger Delta to restore biodiversity in Nigeria especially in Niger Delta. CEHRD has also ensured child rights are protected and mainstreamed the sensitization of Gender Based Violence in primary and secondary schools. The successes of CEHRD are enormous and CEHRD is committed to promote human rights and sustainable green environment in Nigeria.
