Be Trust Worthy On Your Role As Project Auditors, Dr. Nabie Charges NGOs, Others

The Coordinator of Centre for Environment, Human Rights and Development, (CEHRD), Dr. Nubari Nabie has charged civil society and non-governmental organizations and other relevant stakeholders to be trust worthy in their roles as project auditors and in delivering developmental strides in the society.

He made the call during a radio talk show in Super 93.3 FM organized by HYPREP. Dr. Nabie remarked that one of the challenges CSOs and NGOs encounter as project auditors and in project delivery is the challenge of trust.

He stated that most communities do not have trust on the activities of CSOs and NGOs, and these have hindered developments. Dr. Nabie expressed that if communities have trust on NGOs, CSOs and other relevant stakeholders, there will better developments in the society.

Dr. Nabie emphasized that CEHRD in collaboration with other CSOs audit the projects done by HYPREP to ensure they are properly done. He stated that CEHRD has been monitoring HYPREP’s activities over the years and this time holds no difference as CEHRD will heighten its monitoring and evaluation over HYPREP’s works to ensure it is done as it ought to.

He further on the ability of Prof. Nenibarini Zabbey to deliver good developmental strides as stipulated on the UNEP report base on his antecedents, expertise, [professionalism and love for the environment and community development.
