Giving Women Voice Women In Governance Network (Wign) Visits Marine Base Polo Chairmen

As part of CEHRD’s culture of partnership and creating synergy in intervention, the NSRP Output 3 project team joined the Women in Governance Network in an advocacy visit to Polo Chairmen of Marine Base on Wednesday, 29^th April, 2015. This activity is under the project – ‘Integrated Approach on Increasing women Participation in Governance in Rivers State’, implemented by CEHRD.

The advocacy visit to Marine Base was focused at introducing the project to the Polo chairmen with a view to seeking community collaboration and to also create an opportunity for effective partnership with the project community to actualize inclusion of women in governance.

BENEFIT OF THE ADVOCACY VISIT FOR CEHRD/NSRP OUTPUT 3

–  The advocacy visit to Marine Base has opened doors of cordial relationship between peace club and community leadership.

–  Through this activity peace club in Marine Base will have the required exposure which will further boost their visibility and leadership confidence.
