Workshop to develop mangrove conservation framework in Kono community

On Wednesday June 21, 2023, the Centre for Environment, Human Rights and Development (CEHRD) facilitated a stakeholder’s workshop to develop mangrove conservation framework in Kono community town hall, with the paramount ruler, Chief Monday Nwige, his council of chiefs and selected representatives of the fisher folks present at the workshop.

During the workshop, the participants were grouped into two groups, the chief and his council in one group and the fisher folks in the other group. They each came up with plans that were harmonized into a working framework that will be signed and implemented as a guide for mangrove conservation framework in Kono community.
