Centre for Environment, Human Rights and Development (CEHRD) is a leading Non-Governmental Organization located in Port Harcourt that promotes Human Rights and Sustainable Green Development in Nigeria. CEHRD is committed to workforce diversity in terms of gender, nationality and culture. CEHRD has been working to reduce Gender-based Violence (GBV) and promoting gender equality in Nigeria. CEHRD is currently implementing a project titled: ‘Enhancing Prevention and Response to Gender Based Violence in Rivers State’ with support from the European Union (EU), British Council, and Agents for Citizen-Driven Transformation. In order to develop the modules, training manuals and facilitate trainings for the project, CEHRD is seeking to engage a consultant.

Duties and Responsibilities

•Develop training modules on Rivers State Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law 2020 (VAPP)

•Develop 3 training manuals each for secondary schools, institution stakeholders and communities.

•Facilitate trainings, workshops and events

•Prepare and administer pre and post test to assess each trainings, workshops and events

•Write and submit a training report

•And any other thing that relates to training and facilitation of activities

Required Skills and Experience

•Bachelor Degree in Law with at least three years of relevant experience related to gender

•Masters Degree in related field is an added advantage.

•Good research, writing and reporting skills.

•Good knowledge of Rivers State VAPP Law 2020

•Previous facilitation experience with Civil Society on GBV response.

•Knowledge of human psychology and people management

•Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages especially power point.

•Fluency in written and spoken English.
