CEHRD PAID AN ADVOCACY VISIT TO RIVERS STATE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE

#cehrd on the 28th day of July organized an advocacy visit to the Rivers State Ministry of Justice. The visit was first and foremost to appreciate the ministry for her effort towards #GBV. Secondly to request the ministry full collaboration and intensification of their efforts.
The aim of the advocacy visit was to seek ways to which #MOJ will sign an MoU with Rivers State Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation in ensuring that victims of #GBV get justice and redress speedily.

The meeting was the first phase in #cehrd bid to create a lasting partnership between the coordinating ministry of #riversstatevapplaw in Rivers State, Rivers State Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation and @Rivers State Ministry of Justice in the bid to fighting #GBV in Rivers State.
#cehrd in her project implementation found out that the coordinating ministry cannot prosecute on its own. It will take the effort of #MOJ to enforce justice. #cehrd saw it necessary to bring both ministries working together from the State end against #GBV in Rivers State.
