CEHRD TAKES PART IN GLOBAL CITY NATURE CHALLENGE 2022

Centre for Environment, Human Rights and Development (#CEHRD) for the past 3 years have been engaging in the global city nature challenge. The iNaturalist project is aimed at preserving biodiversity in our localities and show casing the rich biodiversity in their natural environments.

The project has been a learning process amongst participants. In achieving this over the years, #CEHRD engages with students from University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State University and well meaning individuals to partake in the challenge. This year, #CEHRD is involved again to preserve biodiversity in the City Nature Challenge from April 29 – May 2, 2022 in Rivers State, Nigeria. It is on record that

#CEHRD is the first institution in Nigeria to participate in the challenge, thus, being the first in Nigeria to preserve biodiversity in the global space as far as iNaturalist project is concerned.Click to see
