Political Parties Consultation on Women Inclusion in Politics in Bayelsa State

The Centre for Environment, Human Rights and Development, CEHRD organized a Political Parties Consultation on Women Inclusion in Politics in Bayelsa State. The meeting is to influence political parties through their representatives present during the meeting to support 30% women affirmative action for political candidates and political appointees. The results expected include increase in women running on political parties’ platform, improvement in political parties willingness to support women candidates and political parties adopting women friendly policies. This is with support from the Embassy of the Netherlands, Abuja.
