Two Marriages in CEHRD in Less Than Two Months as Dr. Tammy Cookey Takes Bride Home

 Saturday, April 5, 2025 saw the Head of Department, Environment and Conservation Unit of Centre for Environment, Human Rights and Development, Dr Tammy Cookey joined to his heartthrob, former Pinika Badom in holy matrimony making it two marriages in CEHRD in less than two months.

Advising the couples, the Head of Administrations and Finance, CEHRD, Mrs. Nnenna Okoroji advised the couples to be inseparable, create room for understanding and love noting that if they have these elements, they will be able to surmount whatever challenges that come their way.

Mrs. Okoroji wished the couple a very good happy married life, while praying that God sustains and provides to them their heart desires in the marriage.

On his part, the Head of Programmes, CEHRD, Mr. Steve Obodokwe while underscoring that CEHRD is known for participatory governance where every one has a voice, stated that he believes Dr Cookey will apply same participatory nature in his home where the wife’s voice will not be shut-down or neglected.

Mr Obodokwe noted that marriage works when both parties are involved while wishing the couple every good thing that will make their marriage a successful one.

The bride, Mrs. Pinika Tammy Cookey who could not hide her joy, speaking on behalf of the couple, appreciated all dignitaries for coming to the event and making it a success. She specifically thanked CEHRD for their presence.

Staff of Centre for Environment, Human Rights and Development, CEHRD came out in mass to celebrate with one of their staff, Dr Tammy Cookey as he joins the married men association.
