As part of activities to mitigate oil re-pollution in Niger Delta, the Centre For Environment Human Rights And Development – CEHRD on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 organized a public awareness programme in Yenegoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, Nigeria.

The rally was aimed to discourage and highlight the disadvantages and dangers of re-polluting the environment. Community members made up of women, men, and youths came out in their numbers to collaborate with CEHRD in the advocacy engagement.

They expressed gratitude to CEHRD and True Costs Initiative for organizing the event in their Local Government Area stating that such events as this will help to reduce further re-pollution in the region.

It is worthy of note that CEHRD has organized such rally in Ogbia Local Government in the bid to ensure more persons become away of the effects of oil re-pollution in Bayelsa State.

The rally is part of activities on the project, “Mitigating Oil Re-pollution in Niger Delta” implemented by CEHRD, sponsored by True Costs Initiative
